SCRIP Program
In 2006, the Academy started a Scrip program where parents can order gift cards to area restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and many other retail stores. By ordering the gift cards on a weekly basis a portion of the amount ordered helps to defray the cost of tuition. For example, if you order a $50 gift certificate to a local grocery store at a 5% discount, you would pay $50 to the Academy and receive a $50 gift certificate to the grocery store. However, the cost of the gift certificate to the Academy is $47.50 and $2.50 goes into an account toward your child’s tuition. This program has been a great benefit to our parents. It is not a fundraiser for the school, but a way parents can help pay tuition by buying things they normally would through gift certificates through the Academy. Parents have saved $100 to $1300 through this program on their tuition this past year. You also may have other people help, such as grandparents or aunts and uncles, within this program.
