Kindergarten (K4-K5)
Four-year-old kindergarten
The bright Beginnings program is designed as a delightful first learning experience for four-year-olds. The program allows parents to choose a three or five day program, and it runs from 8:00 until 11:45 a.m. with extended care available in the afternoon. The program acquaints children with Bible stories, character development, alphabet recognition, basic counting skills, crafts and activities, and social skills. The Bright Beginnings follows the Academy calendar.
Five-year-old kindergarten
The kindergarten program serves as an integral part of the total school program. Five-year-olds are ready both mentally and physically to handle the challenges of an active educational program. The kindergarten program is a full day program (8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) five days a week. The students are taught Bible stories and verses, a phonics reading program, basic math skills and concepts, and developing of listening skills. Music and art as well as fun-filled learning experiences are introduced to the child in kindergarten. Children must by five years of age by September 1 to be enrolled in K5. A readiness evaluation is given to each child entering the program.
